We've ignored this basket for months. Now all of a sudden, it's our favorite place to hang out. Together. First we were "babies going to sleep," then we morphed into "baby kitties going night-night." After awhile, we just decided to be ourselves and hug-wrestle.

As a public service, Zak and I have begun taking on various animal personalities in an effort to keep ourselves (and those around us) entertained during these cold winter months. Any kid can do a plain old cow impression, or a dog or a cat. But we believe in taking things to the next level. Here you see me as a "Kangaroo Taking a Shower." Other species recently on display at the Lipsey house: Scary Otter, Big Giant Mommy Snake and Fishy Eating Cheesy Pasta.

Last Saturday we hopped the kiddie train at nearby Yorktown Center, which is one of our favorite weekend activities (we've been a bunch of times but this is the first time Mom and Dad remembered the camera). We claimed the engine car for our own and took turns ringing the bell.


Best of all, unlike the El or Amtrak, pets ride free on the ol' Yorktown Express. All aboard!

now this is my kind of january!

Yesterday was almost 50 degrees, with sun and blue skies. Can I get an "Oh yeah!" people?!?
