fish pops

Despite our mother's repeated and vigorous attempts to convince us that this item is a "corn dog" or a "veggie dog," we insist on using the proper terminology. It is, of course, a "fish pop." Or, per Zak, a "warm delicious fish pop."

Personally, I don't know what Mom was thinking when she served a refined young gentleman like myself food on a stick. I prefer dining experiences that include utensils. After all, proper table etiquette should be observed at all times if one wants to project an air of success and savoir faire.

hello again

It's difficult to resume our blog knowing that Grandpa Lipsey won't be reading it anymore (click here for his memorial). But we feel that it's time to try...and to broadcast across the internets that we love you Grandma Lipsey, and we can't wait to see you again. XOXOXOXO x infinity!

Here we are demonstrating our new love of spiders...especially the blow-up kind.

Our interest in pumpkins is also on the rise, especially the kind that hang on necklaces and are filled with bubbles. Huge thanks to Aunt Katherine for all the awesome Halloween toys. We can't get enough of them!

In other news, we were pleased to host Aunt Melissa for the last couple of days as she swung through Chicago for a conference on Stellar Service. We have no idea what Stellar Service means, but it sure was great to see her.

You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them. - Desmond Tutu

We love you all!

a snowy morning

So, this morning Wyn and I were re-introduced to the strange phenomenon of snow.

It all melted by 11:00 a.m., but it sure held our interest while it lasted!

Mom brought a couple of specimens inside for us to examine. That's some cold stuff.

Shorty after this shot was taken, I discovered that snowballs do not bounce. :(

1 swing, 2 balloons, 3 boys, 4 photos

In case you're wondering, Sam's balloon was in his pocket.
