a visit from mel, it did not smell

We just had a visit from our dear Aunt Mel,
It was really swell; in fact it absolutely did not smell.
Sunday we took her to Millennium Park,
Where we took this photo for the occasion to mark.
Dad asked Zak and me to smile, but we felt a little wary.
Instead we just stared at the work of Frank Ghery.

Here's another shot with Zak looking off to the side.
Oh, don't be fooled; we welcomed Mel with arms open wide.
Our aunt's lots of fun and really quite perky.
She came here all the way from Albuquerque!

Then Monday afternoon we all went for a swing.
Mel helped us go high, which was a very good thing.
'Cause my brother and I, we don't like to sit still.
But we love silly playmates, and Mel sure fits the bill.

Here we are on Tuesday, showing off our pearly whites.
Zak and I are usually upbeat, but Mel took us to new heights.
We didn't want her to leave, but apparently it had to be so.
Anyway, the only thing that would've been more fun
Is if Mel had Madi in tow.

We love you Aunt Melissa!
